We are Howard and Sheila Taylor and we got our first Field Spaniel ‘Ully’ as a pet in 1982 when we lived just outside Cambridge. He was bred by Jana Kodicek of the Wyncek Affix. Whilst bought as a pet in 1993 we were persuaded to show him and he subsequently went on to win 4 Challenge Certificates (C.C.’s) (all with Best of Breed) and 3 Reserve Challenge Certificates (R.C.C.’s). He gained his title in 1990 - Sh Ch WYNCEK ULTRA . Whilst most start off with a foundation bitch ‘Ully’ was our foundation dog and is present in all our homebred pedigrees

In 1985 we acquired our second Field ‘Boko’ who was sired by ‘Ully’ out of Albert and Marion Sant’s SEGEDUNUM YANA OF TOLGARTH. Boko had a very successful career in the show ring and also in the field gaining his full title in 1991 - CH TOLGARTH KAURI. Boko gained his Junior Warrant, Show Gundog Working Certificate, 6 C.C.’s and 1 R.C.C. In 1991 Boko was the joint top winning Field Spaniel in the United Kingdom.

In 1988 we moved back north and acquired our third Field Max, again from Albert and Marion. He was an Ully grandson also from SEGEDUNUM YANA OF TOLGARTH. He too was successful in the Field and in the Show ring gaining 4 C.C.’s and 2 R.C.C.’s - Sh Ch TAYOWEN MAXIMILLIAN It is Max’s head you see on our home page.

In 1989 we bought our first bitch from Jill and Charles Holgate - SH CH NADAVIN DUSKY PRINCESS OF TAYOWEN (Rowan), she subsequently went on to win 6 C.C.’s and 4 R.C.C.’s. Rowan was our foundation bitch and in 1991 Rowan was mated to Boko. From her litter of 10 (see ‘breeding’ below).

We kept one bitch TAYOWEN TOUCH OF CLASS (Zoe ( 3 R.C.C.’s, and 2 dogs TAYOWEN TACTICIAN J.W. (Buster) (1 C.C. and 2 R.C.C’s) & Tayowen Tobias (Tubs).

In 1995 Zoe was mated to CH RHIWLAS HAFREN and had 3 puppies two of whom are pictured on page 6 - our Sh Ch. TAYOWEN TOUCH OF SATIN JW and Heather and Les Weeks foundation bitch TAYOWEN TOUCH OF SILK AT CARINYSSADER
